Set Up - Set Back - Surrender!!!
Yes!!! - It’s the 3 S’s - SET UP, SET BACK AND SURRENDER!!!
This was my church sermon last Sunday and I must say it was one of the many powerful sermons that was delivered by one of the executive pastor in my church. Reflecting to what he said during the sermon - it makes me reflect what we all been thru in our lives - irregardless of whatever religion we believe in.
There are always a set up and set back in our lives. Whether the set up and set back are man made or due to the current situation that we are in. We all go thru it one time or several times in our life. For those who has not been there, you better start counting on your lucky stars…
What is a set up?
A set up means to put into some condition or to place in a particular position. This can mean anything. When one is being set up - it is always in a position that will have an impact on one’s life and the impact is usually negative. We can be set up by any one which includes our own family, close friends, colleagues, bosses and neighbours and etc. The list is endless.
What is a set back?
A set back means there is unforeseen delay or change in the plans that we may have for our-self or for others or plans others have for our-self.
What is to surrender?
To surrender is to not surrender to your enemies but to surrender the entire situation to God. Let HIM take over the situation. Set up and set back is a process that we as humans go thru in our life. But in God’s way when we surrender HE will strengthen our Faith and Believe. And so when the next time we go thru another set up and set back, we will have the strength to go thru it knowing that God is with us and that he will see us thru.
So in whatever religion we believe in, we are never alone cause we have our God to guide us and lead us home to Victory.
God is a magic fairy who lives in the sky, its fantasy, no such thing. It’s hard for me to understand why people still go to church. There is no god, god is superstition.
